Aon to Move St. Louis Office to Cortex Innovation Community

ST. LOUIS (June 8, 2018) – Aon plc (NYSE: AON), the leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, is moving its St. Louis office to the Cortex Innovation Community, the vibrant innovation hub and technology district integrated into the historic Central West End and Forest Park Southeast neighborhoods.

“We are thrilled to have Aon choose to locate their operations in our newest building in Cortex,” said Doug Woodruff, senior vice president, development for Wexford Science & Technology. “Their global reputation for helping companies find innovative solutions to complex challenges in areas like risk, retirement and health is further validation that our Knowledge Communities, which blend university research, entrepreneurial activity, and corporate engagement, are focal points for talent, ideas, and programming.”

Founded in 2002, Cortex is the Midwest’s premier innovation hub of bioscience and technology research, development and commercialization, serving as the anchor of St. Louis’ growing ecosystem for innovative startup programs and established companies.

“Innovation and social impact are central to our mission and aligned with the Cortex community,” said Nicholas Kalist, resident managing director, Aon Missouri. “This move represents our commitment to the region’s growth and delivering all of Aon to our clients, communities and colleagues in our mission to empower economic and human possibility.”

Aon plans to move into the 30,000 square foot office space at 4220 Duncan in St. Louis by the end of the year. The new office will hold more than 200 Aon employees.

Aon announced in May 2018 it will retire the business unit brands of Aon Benfield and Aon Risk Solutions, which follows the retirement of the Aon Hewitt business unit brand in 2017. This move was designed to increase the rate of innovation across the firm and make it easier for colleagues to work together to bring the best of Aon to clients. Aon has five specific global solution lines: Commercial Risk Solutions, Reinsurance Solutions, Retirement Solutions, Health Solutions and Data & Analytic Services.
